Jon Bon Jovi

John Francis Bongiovi-Junior (born March 2, 1962), commonly known as Jon Bon Jovi is American musician, composer and actor. As lead singer and founder of the rock band Bon Jovi, he has sold over 120 million albums worldwide with his band and 10 million albums as a solo artist. (August 2008). He is also owner of the Arena Football League team to the Philadelphia Soul.

Jon Bon Jovi was born John Francis Bongiovi-junior in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, the son of two former Marines, Hair John Francis Bongiovi, Sr. and one time Playboy bunny Carol Sharkey. He has two brothers, Anthony and Matthew. He is Italian-American: his father was born in Sciacca, near Agrigento in Sicily. He grew up in neighboring Sayreville, New Jersey. Bon Jovi attended St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, New Jersey, in its first year and second year. He later transferred Sayreville war memorial School in Parlin, New Jersey.
