Jesse Spencer

Jesse Gordon Spencer (born 12 February 1979) is an Australian actor, most known for his current portrayal of Dr. Robert Chase on the critically acclaimed medical drama House.

Jesse Spencer was born in Melbourne, Australia. He has two brothers, Tarney (an oculo-plastic surgeon) and Luke (an orthopaedic surgeon), and a sister, Polly (currently an intern in medicine). His parents Robyn and Rodney Spencer are the founders of the Australians Against Further Immigration political party and have run several times as candidates in federal and state elections. His mother Robyn was a one time member of One Nation (Australia).

Spencer attended Canterbury Primary School, Malvern Central School and Scotch College. Whilst at Scotch he auditioned for the long-running soap opera, Neighbours. He continued to work toward his VCE qualification whilst working on the show and graduated in 1997.
